Mastering our traumas through community and connection
Once upon a time, there was a happy girl or boy, and along came some unexpected events that forever changed how you viewed others and the world. The truth is the world can be a dark, dangerous, and unforgiving place.
Some events are destined to take place. Yes, these events impact us, and yes, these events affect our overall mental and emotional well-being. Sometimes, our wounds become masked and buried, creating the soul’s fragmentation.
As my mentor Deepak Chopra mentioned in a most recent short intellectual talk on YouTube, our cells are dying and reborn in the same thought and moment. The present is already past.
To maintain a state of homeostasis and an optimal environment, it’s imperative to look at our routines and behaviors and, most importantly, how those create patterns.
We can begin the soul retrieval process by identifying the behavior patterns and isolating the triggers.
I never knew how profound a shamanic journey could be until I experienced performing one. The psyche can isolate the threat but also has the disadvantage of shutting off emotion or constantly being a victim of one’s suffering. Once we transcend the “matrix” or 3D, we can expand parts of the brain that allow us to communicate, interpret, and process unseen things.
Legend, lore, or fiction.
The practice of storytelling is what keeps traditions, beliefs, and magic alive. Your words are mighty powerful tools, and it’s easy to speak negatively, mainly when we are influenced, conditioned, and programmed to be in fear or dissatisfaction.
What if you spent each morning shifting that inner dialogue to be practical in that you have many things to be grateful for? Take time to make a list and maybe even start a gratitude jar. No matter what you decide to do, it’s important to remember that with repetition comes success.
As we become more comfortable with who we are and how we connect with our higher truths and healing. You may have recently noticed being divinely guided to certain people, activities, and practices. This is your body’s way of recalibrating. The soul’s intentions will always be known whether we are conscious of this notion. Rest assured, these things will come to you in ways you least expect.
The connections can free you from discontentment and reignite your passions, energy, and overall spirit. The challenge for most is “Trust.” I always encourage individuals to look for the “Truth” in situations and trust their inner knowing.
Questions to ponder
How do you feel about this person?
What emotions arise?
Do you feel supported?
Sometimes, because we have experienced abandonment and fear, it may be possible to mistake someone’s energy as being supportive; however, because we have most likely experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment, we may overlook the red flags and warning signs because we don’t want to be alone.
“To live is to suffer.”- Buddha.
Knowing that there are times when we will meet people who finally understand us on a soul level is such a blessing. Be sure to reach out to those with similar interests and establish a connection. You are not alone and should never feel that way.
Happy connecting!
Happy Leap Year!
